Pausen

Pausen collects no personal data at all. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no analytics. It contains no advertising, no third-party software of any kind, and no code that makes a network request. Nothing about you, your child or your device is transmitted anywhere, because the app has no way to transmit anything.
This policy is short because there is genuinely very little to describe. We have deliberately not padded it with clauses about data we do not have.
Pausen saves four small values on the device itself, using Apple's standard app-settings storage. The app never sends them anywhere, and no other app can read them:
That last number is the whole of the app's memory of a child. It is not a profile: there are no dates, no counts and no history, so it cannot be used to reconstruct when or how often the app was used, and it is never combined with anything else. Pausen never asks for a child's name, age, date of birth, photograph or any other detail — there is no screen on which such a thing could be entered.
Deleting the app deletes all four values.
If Pausen crashes, iOS may hand the app a technical crash report — the kind of thing that names the line of code that failed. Pausen keeps these on the device, where you can look at them on the "Crash reports" screen and delete any of them. Deleting the app deletes them all.
The app never sends a crash report anywhere, and there is no way to send one from inside it either. There is no crash-reporting service in it, no automatic upload of any kind, and no share button — the Crash reports screen can only show them to you and delete them.
Separately, and entirely under Apple's control rather than ours, iOS itself may share diagnostics with Apple if you have opted into that in Settings; that is a setting on your device, not a feature of this app, and you can change it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Pausen is intended to be used by a very young child with a parent nearby. It collects no personal information from anyone — child or adult — so there is nothing to disclose, sell or share, and no parental consent is required, because no collection takes place at all.
Pausen contains no advertising and no in-app purchases, and there is no way for a child to contact anyone or be contacted. It has no route out to anything else on the device at all: nothing in Pausen opens another app, a browser, a mail composer or a share sheet.
Pausen does not track you. It does not use the advertising identifier, does not fingerprint the device, and shares nothing with data brokers or advertising networks. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected, and that is a description of the code rather than an aspiration.
Wideout AB (Stockholm, Sweden) is the party responsible for this app. The app sends us nothing, so we hold no personal data collected through it — there is nothing for us to give you access to, correct, export or erase. The values described above are held solely on your own device and are under your control: removing the app removes them.
There is one place where we do process personal data, and it would be dishonest to leave it out. If you email us, we process your email address and whatever you write in order to answer you — our legitimate interest in supporting the app. If you attach a crash report, we treat it the same way. We keep support correspondence only as long as it takes to resolve the matter. For that correspondence, and only that, Wideout AB is the data controller, and the usual rights apply: you can ask us for a copy of it, for corrections, or for deletion.
You have the right to complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
These pages set no cookies, run no analytics and load nothing from anywhere else. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, including IP addresses, in order to serve and secure the site — the same as any web host.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. If a future version of Pausen ever collected anything, that would be a material change and this page would say so plainly before it shipped.
