Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Bibelappen ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Bibelappen is published by Wideout AB ("we", "our", "us"), Stockholm, Sweden.

2. What Bibelappen is — and is not

Bibelappen is a Bible reading and study app that provides daily devotionals, reading plans, study questions, and AI-generated insights. It is not a substitute for pastoral guidance, theological education, or professional counselling. AI-generated content is intended to support personal reflection and should not be taken as authoritative doctrine or advice.

3. Subscriptions

Bibelappen offers a free version and an optional premium subscription ("Bibelappen Premium"):

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed via the App Store.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
• Unused portions of any free trial are forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
• Prices may change with prior notice. Price changes take effect at the next renewal.
• We do not offer refunds directly — refund requests go through Apple's standard process.

4. AI-generated content

Bibelappen uses artificial intelligence (via OpenAI) to generate devotionals, study questions, and verse context. This content is generated automatically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or interpretations that differ from your tradition. We make no guarantee regarding the theological accuracy of AI-generated content.

You are solely responsible for how you use and interpret AI-generated content within the app.

5. Use of the app

You agree to:

• Use Bibelappen in accordance with applicable laws.
• Not attempt to circumvent technical restrictions or security features.
• Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app beyond what is permitted by law.
• Not use the app in a way that interferes with other users or our services.

6. iCloud sync

Bibelappen uses Apple's iCloud to sync your reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, and journal entries between your devices. This sync is governed by Apple's iCloud terms. We do not control iCloud availability or reliability.

7. Intellectual property

Bibelappen's design, code, and original content are owned by Wideout AB. Bible text included in the app is used in accordance with its respective license. Third-party components are licensed under their respective terms. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app or its content without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Bibelappen is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, the accuracy of AI-generated content, or continuous availability of iCloud sync.

9. Service discontinuation

If we permanently discontinue Bibelappen, we will:

• Give active subscribers at least 30 days' notice through an in-app message before service ends.
• Stop auto-renewal of all subscriptions immediately upon notice, so you are not billed for service you cannot use.
• Refund the unused portion of any active subscription on a pro-rated basis.

Refunds are issued through Apple's standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you are unable to obtain a pro-rated refund through Apple, contact us at info@wideout.se and we will resolve it directly.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wideout AB is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Bibelappen. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes will be resolved by Swedish courts, without prejudice to consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
